  Obituary: Virgie Sims Services for Virgie Viola Sims, 93, 2766 E. 21st. St., are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ with Earl Danley officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mrs. Sims died Wednesday at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1895, in Denton. She married David L. Sims. He died in 1969. Mrs. Sims had lived in Odessa for 50 years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Royal Neighbors and American Business women's Association, and was a supervisor distributor for Shaklee Products. Survivors include a son, Ernest D. Carwile of Johnson City; a daughter, Gillene C. Smith of Odessa; two sisters, Floy Morrison of Gorman and Nora Fewell of Sealy; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. the family suggests memorials to Odessa Christian School.
