Notes - Obituary:
GORMAN (RNS) - James Elmer Ford, 77, of Sealy, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday at the Sealy Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Gorman Church of Christ.
Audie Moore of Eastland will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery near here, directed by Higginbotham Funeral Home.
Born Aug. 23, 1897, in Comanche County, he was raised in Gorman and attended public schools here. Mr. Ford was a retired carpenter and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. William Bramer of Cottonwood, Ariz., Mrs. Pete Mazza of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Buck Williams of Yuma, Ariz., Mrs. Ben Keith of Andrews and Mrs. Byrch Telford of Roswell, N. M.; one son, Joe French of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Virgie Sims of Odessa, Mrs. Floy Morrison of Gorman and Mrs. Nora Fewell of Sealy; and two brothers, E. P. Ford of Gualala, Calif., and Tommy Woody of Katy.
He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pinkney Ford of Gorman.
