Notes - Obituary:
ODESSA - Graveside services for Clay Orren, 59, of Odessa are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jerry Thorpe officiating.
Mr. Orren died Saturday, Aug. 6, 1994, in Tusayan, Ariz. He was born Oct. 28, 1934, in Saltillo. He married Helen Elkins Fields on March 16, 1981, in Ector County, He was preceded in death by one son, Bennie Clay Orren Jr.
Mr. Orren came to Odessa 55 years ago from Saltillo. He was a welder and past president and state officer of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was retired from the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Orren of Odessa; five stepsons, Brent Fields, Dean Fields, Guy Fields and Kelly Fields, all of Odessa, and Weldon Fields of Baton Rouge, La.; two daughters, Jeannette Clause of Nashville and Pamela Paulson of Everett, Wash.; his mother, Inez Lynn of Odessa; a sister, Dorothy Holland of Big Spring; and 13 grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Foundation.
Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
