    • Obituary:

Durana Glen Williams, 59, passed away peacefully Monday, March 1, 2010, in Yuma, Ariz., after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born May 29, 1950, in Salinas. She had been married to her high school sweetheart for the past 43 years, James Williams. They had two sons, Harold "Hoss" Williams and James "Bubba" Williams. She spent her time between Yuma, Ariz. and Salinas, where she worked side-by-side with her husband in the produce industry for the past 30 years. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography and quilting, but her greatest love was her family. One of her recent passions has been walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-day cancer walk which she has participated in for the past three years.

Durana always found the best in people, never had a bad word to say about anything and always went out of her way to lend a helping hand or to make someone's day better. She was instantly liked by all that she met and was truly a remarkable person. We should all take a lesson from her kindness. She will be missed by all and forgotten by none.

Survivors: She is survived by her husband, James; sons, Hoss and Bubba; mother, Addie Anderson; step-father, Robert Anderson; step-mother, Betty Carson; sisters, Cindy Lazzaroni and Garnet McGrath; and six grandchildren, Chase Williams, Carson and Tegan Williams, Kellun Williams, Dillon and Kendal Williams.

She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Carson and sister, Karen Wittman.

Services: No services will be held at her request.

Memorials: It is requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to her cancer walk team at The 3-Day, P.O. Box 22628, Bullhead City, Ariz. 86439 - in care of Olivia McCormick.
