    • Obituary:

      TEXAS CITY - William "Art" Jeffords IV, 25, of Texas City, died Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at UTMB in Galveston, Texas. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2000, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Texas City with Father Tom Cullen officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock.

      Mr. Jeffords was born July 17, 1974, in the Philippines at Clark Air Force Base. He was an industrial painter for Brown & Root. He loved all sports and was a loving husband, father, son and good friend to many.

      Survivors include his wife, Charmaine Jeffords of Texas
      City; daughters Taylor Garza and Julia Jeffords; brothers Hal Jeffords and Michael Gann; parents Art and Linda Jeffords; inlaws: Julia and Emilio DeLaO Jr., Doug and Carol Fewell and Pete and Kristie DeLaO; nieces and nephews: Shayna Tucker, Alexis DeLaO, Zackaree DeLaO, and Ricky DeLaO.

      Pallbearers will be Ruben Gonzales, Pete DeLaO, Hal Jeffords, Ricky Saenz, Luciano Flores, and Preston Mack.
