    • Obituary:

      William Francis Magee II (Bill), 86, of Houston, Texas, passed from this life on September 16, 2020. Bill was a genuine man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bill never met a stranger in his life and had a great sense of humor.

      He was born in March of 1934, to William Thomas Magee and Ruby Lee (Smith) Magee, in Houston, Texas. He married Deborah Louise (Moore) Magee in January 2001. He met Debbie at The Church of the Redeemer Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas. He graduated from The University of Texas and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Houston. Over the course of his lifetime, he was partnered with his dad in the insurance business. He was a real estate broker and owned his own business as a consultant for non-profit organizations.

      He served in the United States Army from February 1955, through February 1958, rank of Specialist Third Class and was on the Polo team during that time. His true passion was raising Texas Shorthorn Cattle and breeding his Arabian horse, Remi, in Bastrop, TX. He was an avid reader, an amazing painter and loved the theatre. He enjoyed attending Scottish Festivals, immersing himself in his roots. He was a member of the Order of St. Luke's the Physician as well as a member at Good Shepard Episcopal Church in Friendswood, Texas. More recently he was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rockwall. He was a Master Mason in the Scottish Rite for 60 years and was a member at the Grand Lodge of Texas.

      He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Louise Magee; children: Mary Kathleen Magee Alvis and spouse, William Thomas Magee II and spouse; step-children, James Robert Colman II and Spouse, Matthew Alan Colman and spouse, Anne Marie Colman-Munoz and spouse; 5 grandchildren; and 7 step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents: William Thomas Magee and Ruby Lee (Smith) Magee; a daughter: Ramona Dolores Magee; and a step-grandson.

      He will be laid to rest at the Houston National Cemetery on Monday, November 2, 2020, at 10:15 AM, in a private ceremony for the family.
