  Death Notice: GORMAN (RNS) - Roscoe Reeves Sr., 80, of Gorman, a retired rural mail carrier, died at 7:45 a.m. Friday in West Texas Medical Center in Abilene. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel. (Published in The Abilene Reporter-News on April 28, 1973) Obituary: GORMAN (RNS) - Roscoe Reeves Sr., 80, of Gorman, a retired rural mail carrier, died at 7:45 a.m. Friday in West Texas Medical Center in Abilene. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Huron Polnac, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Mr. Reeves was born June 4, 1892, in Brownwood. He was a Mason and belonged to the Gorman First Baptist Church. He married Ruth Haynes June 20, 1936, in Dallas. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Roscoe Jr. of Gorman and C.C. of Longview; one brother, Dick M. of Gulfport, Miss. and four sisters, Mrs. Georgia Earp and Mrs. Stella Pinett, both of Houston, Mrs. May Marshall and Mrs. Nell Muirhead, both of Eastland. Pallbearers will be Speedy Clark, Speck Clark, Bill Parr, George Bennett, John Sutton and Graydon Baze. (Published in The Abilene Reporter-News on April 28, 1973)
