  Obituary: Ruth Tisdale Hamlin died April 10 at a local nursing home. Services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating. Services are under the direction of Pipkin Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 23, 1923 to Robert and Rosie Tisdale in Sweetwater and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Daisy and Pal Tisdale in Midland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Hamlin, and five brothers. She is survived by three sons, Marcus Williams of Orange Park, Fla., Robert Williams of Pflugerville and Ula Williams of Midland; a daughter, Nancy Taylor of Odessa; a sister, Fay Runyon of Midland; a brother, Harold Tisdale of Atlanta and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
