N. A. BUMGARDNER DEAD, FUNERAL TO BE HELD MONDAY
N. A. Bumgardner, 32 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Bumgardner, died at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon at a local sanitarium following an attack of acute appendicitis. He was for many years an employe of the Shreveport postoffice and for the last four years had been assistant postmaster at Minden whence he was brought to a local sanitarium for treatment Saturday.
The funeral will be held on Monday. Until 11 o'clock Monday morning the body will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Ratcliff in Bossier City, whence it will be taken by the Wellman Undertaking company to Linton, La., for burial at 1 o'clock, where services will be conducted by the Rev. J. M. Hickson and the Rev. W. L. Stevens at the old family plot in Linton cemetery. Pall bearers will be W. F. Goodwill, F. C. Beck, A. B. Moreland, A. S. Drew, DeWitt Pyburn and W. L. Pilkington.
Besides his parents, Mr. Bumgardner is survived by four brothers and three sisters, E. R. Bumgardner of Homer, Robert, Gordon and Marvin Bumgardner of Bossier City, Mrs. Wilburn Dalrymple of Midway, La., Mrs. Warrie Birdwell and Miss Claudia Bumgardnder of Bossier City.
