      Skeem LeBleu Dies Thursday, Rites Saturday

      Skeem LeBleu, 63, ferry operator for the Calcasieu parish police jury, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night following a heart attack. He was working at the West Fork ferry when the heart attack occurred.

      A veteran of World War I, Mr. LeBleu saw service in France, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg. He was wounded in action and had received several decorations during his service.

      Funeral services will be held at the Burke-Hammer funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday with the pastor of the Calvary Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in LeBleu cemetery.

      Survivors are two sons, Clark and Andrew LeBleu; one daughter, Mrs. Willis LeBlanc; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, Earl, Clem, Lee and John S. LeBleu, all of Lake Charles; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Daigle of Lake Charles and Mrs. Mary Daigle of Sulphur.
