A graveside service for Mildred "Kat" Ebarb Madison, 87, will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Father Mark Watson.
Kat was born on November 21, 1933 in Ebarb, Louisiana to Willis and Angeline Ebarb and passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Kat was a resident of Shreveport where she came to live in 1952 after graduating from Ebarb High School. She met and married her husband, Bill Madison, in Shreveport. She worked as a cashier for Weingarten's Grocery Store and Southern Maid Donut Shop. She never met a stranger. She was a member of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing with and loving her cats!
Kat is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers; and sisters. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Ronald Madison; and daughter, Linda Madison; special friends, Tammy McCallister and family, Carla Thomas and family, and David and Annie Barnhill.
The family would like to express special thanks to the entire staff of Magnolia Nursing Home for the love and care shown to our mother.
The family suggests memorials may be made to any pet rescue in her memory.
