Notes - Obituary:
Don Shue of Lancaster, passed away suddenly on Jan. 30 at age 76. He was born Dec. 22, 1939. Don graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins high school where he met his beautiful wife of 55 years, Evelyn Ernst Shue. Don was a long-time Dallas Cowboy fan, serving as a ball boy at every home game for 30 years. He participated in various sports including softball in his younger years. One of his favorite pastimes was playing golf with his Son, Daughter, Grandkids, & many friends. After a successful 38 year career at Taylor Publishing, Don decided he wasn't ready for retirement. He then worked at Wal-Mart in Waxahachie for 12 years. Don and Evelyn are devout Christians and are members of First Baptist Lancaster. Don is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn; Grandchildren, Kendall Robinson, Dawn Shue, Chris & Tiffany Shue, Jordan & Miah Judd; Great-grandchildren, Summer, Kiley & Tomi; Son-in-Law, Sean Judd; Brothers, Darwin & Gracie Shue, David & Karen Shue. Preceded in death by Son, Tommy Shue; Daughter, Kristi Judd; Parents, Virgil & Edith Shue; Brothers, Kenny Shue & Lawrence Shue; Sister, Diane Dickerson. Don will be deeply missed by the Shue Family, Ernst Family & many friends. Visitation to be at Green Funeral Home: 972-842-5777, Ferris, Feb. 2nd 6-8 pm. Service will be held at First Baptist Lancaster, Feb. 3rd at 10 am. Interment will follow at Trinity Cemetery Wilmer, TX.
