    • Obituary:

Gary (Gary Paul to family) Isaacks of Oakwood, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at his home. He was born on August 29, 1953 in Grand Saline, Texas to A. C. and Maida (Perry) Isaacks.

Gary worked as a supervisor for Dallas ISD for 27 years. He enjoyed hunting and loved to cook. He also enjoyed gardening and shared his produce with family and friends.

He enjoyed sitting on his porch watching things bloom. He loved discovering new and old music all the time. He had a song or songs for every possible situation. He worked hard and always took pride in his work. Intensely and powerfully is the only way to describe his love for his family. He was always true to his convictions and true to his word.

One of the last things he text to his daughter was "everything is good, as long as hummers are still flying". He loved his "mi jakalito en-da bosque".

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Betty Gail Lowry and brother in law George Lowry.

He is survived by his son, Gary Kristopher (Kris) and wife Pamela; daughter Karla Isaacks Wright; grandchildren Krystal, Kaitlyn, and Kristopher Isaacks; Dakota and Dalton Wright; great granddaughter Kaizley Moore; brother Gerald Isaacks and wife Cynthia; sisters Gwen Isaacks and Alta Arnold and husband Gary. Also survived by numerous uncles and aunts, and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donating to the American Heart Association or Children's Hospital of Dallas.

Memorial time of remembrance will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 on Friday, April 26, 2019.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
