Diana Bowers Stapleton Sebesta, 48, of Kingsport, passed away, Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at her residence, after an extended illness.
Diana was born March 28, 1960, in Norton, VA, a daughter of Burnace Bowers, Sr. and Mary (Bowen) Bowers.
She was a resident of Kingsport, and a member of Cowans Branch Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Amanda Stapleton Snow, of Dobson, NC, Nicole Stapleton of Johnson City; one son, Joshua Sebesta; mother, Mary Bowers, all of Kingsport; grandchildren, Alexis and Chase Snow, of Dobson, NC; four sisters, Kay Williams of Gate City, VA, Correna Bowers of Johnson City, Lisa Harber of Rosehill, VA, Karla Hingle of Pensacola, FL; two brothers, Ray Bowers of Clinton, SC and Samuel Bowers of Gate City, VA; special friends, John Sebesta and Nathaniel Matthews.
The family extends a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at ETSU Cancer Center and to Medical Center Hospice. The daughters want to extend a special thank you to Mary Bowers, Kay Williams, Correna Bowers, Lisa Harber and Karla Hingle.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 12, 2008, from 5-8 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Services will follow with Pastor Larry Tolley officiating, with special music being provided by Catrons Chapel of Gate City.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in East Lawn Memorial Park Family and friends are asked to assemble graveside at 12:45.
