      Bohumil Egnac "Bob" Machart
      April 16, 1939 - May 5, 2023
      84 Years Old

Bohumil Egnac "Bob" Machart, 84, of Commerce, passed away peacefully at home on May 5, 2023. He was born on April 16, 1939, in Halletsville, Texas, to Bohumil Augustus Machart and Albina Lillian Gallia Machart.

Bob grew up in the prairie and farmlands west of Houston. He was raised, along with his eight siblings, by their loving parents, Bohumil and Albina. When he was old enough, Bob joined the Army, where he served as a mechanic with the 2nd tank battalion. He was honorably discharged in June, 1959. With a limited education but a ton of street smarts and work ethic, Bob built a career in the sales and servicing of hydraulic power solutions. In his free time, Bob was an outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing. When he could not be in the woods or on the water, you would find him watching a boxing match or a sporting event. Bob was blessed to receive a strong faith in Jesus and love of family from his parents. His brothers and sisters and their families were so special to him. His grandkids and great grandkids meant the world to him. He was a proud father who loved his kids unconditionally. He taught them to love life, to be kind and respectful and to work hard.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Bohumil and Albina and his brother, Butch.

Bob will be remembered by all he touched as a most kind-hearted man with an always present sense of humor. He never told others how to live, he lived and let us watch. He asked for little and gave much. He will be dearly missed but we look forward to reuniting with him again one day.
