      LULA (LOU) LEBLANC WHITE She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Bruce L. White who died on 11/26/05. Lou, born in Kaplan, LA moved to Highlands, TX, and came to San Diego in 1943 with her husband where they eventually settled in Santee, to breed Pinto parade & champions show horses. In 1958 she and Bruce became founding members of the Pinto Breeders & Exhibitor of So. Calif. Charter. Active in all aspects of the Pinto Horse Assn of America (PtHA), Lou held many positions and in 1985 she was elected to the PtHA Board of Directors serving as PtHA National President from 1996-1998. She continued to be active in PtHA as Sector Director until 2004, helping the Assn registering Pinto horses. She was also active in her community serving in many volunteer positions with Senior Food services and local food banks.

      She is survived by, daughter Cynthia McCool of Montara, CA, sons Bruce L. White Jr. & James M. White of Austin, Tx,, granddaughter Leah O'Connor, great granddaughter Emmerite Fugate of Santee and sister Anne Carlisle of Highlands TX.

      Services are scheduled for 2/13/06 @ 3:00 PM at Mayer Mortuary, 2859 Adams Ave., San Diego, CA. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to Pinto Heritage Foundation Fund, Inc., c/o Pinto Horse Assn of America, 7330 NW 23rd St., Bethany, OK 73008
