      Claude Trahan

      Claude Trahan, 49, a resident of Abbeville, died suddenly Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in his home.

      Funeral rites for Mr. Trahan were held Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic church here and burial was church here and burial was in the New Catholic cemetery.

      Surviving are his father, Anthony Trahan, Sr., of Abbeville; four sons, Wilfred Frank, Wilbert Roy, Paul Wilmer and Thomas James, all of Abbeville; a daughter, Mrs. Otis J. Lemaire, Jr., of Abbeville; seven brothers, Anthony, Jr., of Crowley, Maxie, George, Daniel, Huey, Oris and Wilmer of Abbeville; five sisters, Mrs. Preston Frederick, Mrs. Ama Duhon, Mrs. Herman Trahan, Mrs. Preston Mire, and Miss Thelma Trahan of Abbeville; four grandchildren.

      The First National Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
