    • Obituary:

      O'CONNOR, JOSEPH PATRICK BLACKSTONE
      March 17,1939 to Feb. 22, 2013

Joe succumbed to his fight with cancer at his home with family and friends at his side. He was a lifelong East San Diego County resident. Joe was an avid car enthusiast, reader and garage sale purveyor. Joe was an electrician by trade and retired from GES after 17 years of service in 2010. He was a proud member of IBEW Local 569. Most importantly he was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Joe is survived by his dear wife, Nancy, as well as 10 children, 18 grandchildren, his brothers Michael and Steven, 6 nieces and nephews and numerous close friends. Joe lived life to its fullest and inspired those around him to do the same. He will be forever missed. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday March 1st at the First Baptist Church of Alpine, 1912 Arnold Way with a gathering for friends and family to follow at 2934 Manzanita View Road in Alpine. Please come and join us celebrate the life of our beloved Joe. Rest in peace, Prince Charming.
