CELRIVE HARDY
Celrive Joseph Hardy, 60,a resident of Moss Bluff for the past six months, died at 9 a.m. Friday at his home.
The body was taken by the Hixson funeral home to the Kaplan Catholic church for funeral services early Sunday. Burial will be in the Hardy cemetery in Kaplan.
Mr. Hardy was a native of Kaplan and a retired carpenter.
He is survived by one son, Etienne Hardy of Moss Bluff; two daughters, Mrs. R. E. Chauvin of Lake Charles and Mrs. Milton Hebert of Lafayette; two brothers, Avida Hardy and Eddia Hardy, both of Abbeville.
Nine sisters, Miss Eliza Hardy of Port Arthur, Tex., Mrs. Lindsey Smith of Gueydan, Mrs. Eldridge Guidry of Port Sulphur, Miss Marie Hardy, Mrs. Semar Duhon, Mrs. Elton Mire, Mrs. Ellis Mire, Mrs. John S. Fork, and Mrs. Jean Smith, all of Kaplan; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Celrine Hardy of Kaplan Succumbs In Lake Charles
Celrine Hardy, 60, of Kaplan, died in Lake Charles Saturday morning.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Holy Rosary Catholic church in Kaplan, with burial following in the Breaux cemetery.
Mr. Hardy is survived by his mother, Mrs. Clerphe Hardy of Kaplan; a son, Etienne Hardy of Lake Charles; two daughters, Arthur, Tex., and Mrs. Milton Mrs. Rudolph Chauvin of Port Hebert of Lafayette; nine sisters, Miss Eliza Hardy of Port Arthur, Mrs. Semar Duhon, Mrs. Marie H. LeBouef, Mrs. Elton Mire, Mrs. Ellis Mire, Mrs. Jeanne Hardy Smith, and Mrs. John Faulk, all of Kaplan, Mrs. Lindsey Smith of Gueydan, and Mrs. Eldridge Guidry of Marrero; two brothers, Eddie and Avide Hardy, both of Abbeville; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The Meaux funeral home of Kaplan was in charge of arrangements.

Celrive Hardy of Kaplan Succumbs In Lake Charles
Celrive Hardy, 60, of Kaplan, succumbed in Lake Charles Friday, December 1. He was found dead by a grandchild. A doctor viewing the body said Mr. Hardy died earlier during the night.
