  Obituary: Carl Lester Crawford Carl Lester Crawford, 77, of Amarillo died on Monday, August 9, 2010. Services will be at held at 10:30 A.M. (CST) on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at Coulter Rd. Baptist Church with Chris Robeson, officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. (MST) at the Tucumcari Cemetery in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Carl was born on January, 21, 1933, in Cotton Valley, Louisiana to Lester and Agnes Crawford. He served in the U.S. Navy and married Margaret Moon on June 10, 1954, in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He was a long time resident of Quay County, where he and Margaret farmed in the Forrest community. He was a devoted Christian who was always active in the Baptist church. He was an Ordained Deacon and member of the Gideon's ministry. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tucumcari and Coulter Rd. Baptist Church of Amarillo. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Crawford of the home; a son, Jerry Crawford and wife, Cindy of Amarillo; two daughters, Deborah Gillespie and husband, Phil of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Brenda Davidson and husband, Kyle of Mansfield, Texas; a sister, Dolores Gibbs of Sarepta, Lousiana; six grandchildren, Kayla Bradley, Jon Stevens, Catherine Crawford, Josiah Crawford, Robert Davidson, and Chris Davidson; three great grandchildren, Aiden Stevens, Elizabeth Bradley, and Rosaleigh Bradley.
