  Obituary: SPRINGHILL, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Merle Evans, age 78, will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Bailey Mortuary Chapel with Bro. Mike Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA. Mrs. Evans was born January 13, 1929 in Sarepta, LA to John Hollis and Lillie May Franks Houston and passed away September 17, 2007 in Springhill, LA. She was a resident of Springhill and a member of New Sarepta Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Harkins and husband, Jimmy of Boerne, TX; grandson, Falon Derek Harkins of Alaska; sister, Hollis Jeane Childs of Shongaloo, LA and several nieces and nephews.
