      Glynda G. Kelley
      May 12, 1947 - May 22, 2020

Glynda G. Kelley passed away on May 22nd, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Glynda was born on May 12th, 1947 in Tyler, Texas to her Mother, Boots Burns and Father, Bob Burns. She graduated from C. E. Byrd High School and attended Louisiana Tech and University of Arkansas studying Accounting. Since her childhood, Glynda's obsession with clothes, shoes, jewelry and purses grew into an early career working for Levi Strauss where she was introduced to and eventually marrying the love of her life, Perry "Mickey" Kelley. Glynda is survived by her Husband, Mickey Kelley; Son, Kurt Kelley; Daughter, Kassie Kelley-Stelly; Son-in-Law, Brian Stelly; Step-Son, Perry "Joey" Kelley Jr.; Grandchildren Tristan and Logan Stelly; Sister, Judy Brown; Nephews, Jay Brown, Jeff Brown, Les Brown and their respective families. Glynda was preceded by her Mother, Boots Burns, Father Bob Burns and Step-Son, Shawn Kelley.

Glynda's biggest passion in life was spreading joy and spoiling her two grandchildren, Tristan and Logan, who lovingly named her "GG," along with spending as much time with her children's families. Her vivacious spirit transcended family, friends and strangers alike, sharing her warmth and infectious smile with every person she interacted with.

During her 44 year tenure as a school bus driver for the children, young athletes and teachers of Shreveport, "Ms. Kelley" as she was known, was a cherished and well known member of the community. "Mama Kelley" was a second mother, mentor, best friend and advocate to extended family, friends and community members as she embraced many who were seeking guidance, friendship, comradery and love. Her devout faith in Jesus Christ shined through her, as she enjoyed sharing her passion with lifelong friends and fellow followers during regular Bible Study sessions.

She will take her final resting place at Centuries Memorial 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108. Open visitation will be from 12pm-2pm, followed by a memorial service from 2-3pm, officiated by Kurt Kelley. Pall bearers honoring Glynda Kelley will be the following- James Demoss, Jay Brown, Jeff Brown, Les Brown, Chad Stett and Jarred Brown.
