He was born March 7, 1923, in Dierks, Ark. He was an operator for Cosden Oil and Chemical Co., and had worked as a farmer and a plumber. Survivors include his wife, Eva Arnold, four daughters, Charlene Kennedy, Eva Chappell, Elaine Matthies and Brenda Dugger, and three sons, Ronnie Huitt, Roger Huitt and Rodney Huitt, all of Big Spring; three brothers, Luther Bedwell of Snyder, Cecil Arnold, of Big Spring and Dick Arnold of Brownwood; 21 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
