James Allan Russell
James Allan Russell of Nipton Calif., born in Abilene, Texas December 17, 1941, to Brunson Wesley and Mary Eva Russell. Died in Las Vegas, Nev., Jan. 13, 2011.
He became a carpenter in his early teens working for his father. He married Norma Sue Burleson in 1963. He worked as a carpenter until 1978 when he bought the Cima Mining Co. of Cima, Calif., where he resided until 1991, moving to the Valley Wells Ranch. In 1999 he began working for Stateline Services, driving a tow truck, which he loved.
Survived by Norma Sue Russell; two daughters, Karen Hammon of Provo, Utah, and Rosetta Sanderson of South Bend, Indiana; brother, Gary Russell of Durango, Colo.; cousins, Lorees Eva Rigsby, Tommy Rigsby and Billy Rigsby; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation was conducted by Desert Memorial Funeral and Crematorium. Memorial Services will be held at the Mohave Cross, located at Cima Road, Calif., on Sunday April 24, 2011 at 8 a.m. after sunrise services.
