      Ocie Joe Hamlin "Joey"
      February 22, 1955 - September 29, 2024
      Lubbock

      Ocie Joe Hamlin also known as "Joey", 69 of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday,October 2, 2024 at 1 pm at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Ocie Joe Hamlin was born on February 22, 1955 to Eddie and Macie Hamlin.

      Joey was a member of the Stuntmen's Association of Motion Pictures and a Screen Actors Guild member until he retired. He made a successful career doing stunt work, training "fall" horses and wrangling for many modern westerns and films involving livestock.

      He is preceded in death by his father Ed Hamlin, and his mother Macie Hamlin, his siblings Alford Hamlin, Kay Armstrong, and Ray Hamlin.

      He is survived by his wife Michelle Hamlin, his son Joey Hamlin and wife Kathy of Post, TX, his granddaughter Katelyn Hamlin, his grandson Keith Hamlin, his stepdaughter Crystal Ulmer of Austin, TX, granddaughters Addison Ulmer and Everly Ulmer, twin grandsons Finn Ulmer and Rye Ulmer, his sister Shirley Kathleen Schoonvelt, his brothers Wayne Hamlin & Marty Hamlin, and a host of other relatives and friends.
