Family will receive friends and family at Myers and Smith Funeral Home on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 11 am to 9 pm and immediate family from 6 to 9 pm.
Brenda was born to Charles and Ora Huitt in Big Spring, Texas on July 28, 1962 and raised by maternal aunt and uncle, Lloyd and Eva Arnold, whom she knew as "mom and dad."
Brenda was a lifelong resident of Big Spring and Odessa, TX. She loved her family dearly. She was an avid Christian and loved the Lord. She was a caregiver for many years and loved the ones she cared for throughout her life. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grand children most of all. She enjoyed the love of the outdoors, her two little ducks she raised and rose gardening was one of her favorite things to do. Those who know and love her knew she was "the fun aunt" the one we could all turn to for a laugh, fun, to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. She also kept us in riddles, literally. We had a special code game we'd have to play with her to understand what she was talking about. She also loved butterflies. They were beautiful and had a sense of freedom and showing God's love in the painting of something so majestically created. But overall she had the biggest heart in the world and gave of herself and her time to anyone who needed it. She will be greatly loved and missed. The love of her life was her husband, Karl Dugger, who preceded her in death on January 28, 1988. May they both lie in peace together now.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Karl Erick Dugger and Leslie Dugger of Clifton, Tx. She had six grandchildren, Dylan, Jacob, Shawn, Cadence, CJ and Bri Dugger and two great-grandchildren, Leo and Amaya. She is survived by three brothers, Ronald and Roger Huitt of Big Spring, TX, Rodney and wife Suzanne Huitt of San Angelo, TX and two sisters, Eva Chappell of Big Spring, TX, and Elaine Mathies of Lamesa TX, numerous nieces, nephews and several cousins and friends. She knew many people and loved every one of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ora Huitt and Lloyd and Eva Arnold of Big Spring, TX, two sisters, Darlene Reynolds and Charlene Kennedy of Big Spring, TX and a niece, Pamela Kennedy of Ashtabula, OH.
Pallbearers will be her son, Karl Dugger, her grandsons, Dylan, Jacob and Shawn Dugger, Ben Conder and Preston Huitt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Huitt.
