Elmer Coldiron Killed
Elmer Coldiron was shot on Willowhole Prairie Saturday night about ten o'clock and died in the Bryan Sanitarium Sunday. Charges of murder has been filed against Houston Neeley by Sheriff Gibson and he gave bond to the amount of $5,000.00 to await examining trial which will be held on Saturday of this week before Judge Joe Whitley at North Zulch.
The trouble started when Neeley's car ran off into some deep ruts, according to a statement made to Sheriff Gibson, and young Coldiron and some other boys came along and offered to help him out. The failed, however, in their efforts to get the car off a high center in the road, and the trouble started, perhaps, about that.
Young Coldiron was about seventeen years old and the son of Mr. Claud Coldiron. Neeley is said to be about thirty or thirty-five years old.
