SKIDMORE - A. M. Hicks, 64, a resident of Bee County 37 years, died Monday night in a Houston hospital after a long illness. He was a retired contractor.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Galloway-Wilson Funeral Chapel at Beeville.
Among the survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Jones and Mrs. Lora Franz, both of Corpus Christi.
Hicks was a member of the First Baptist Church at Skidmore.
Other survivors are his wife, Lula; two sons, Ray of Skidmore and Roy of Beeville a brother, George of Violet; two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Couch of Houston and Mrs. Vesta Bielma of Eloise, Fla., and five grandchildren.
The Rev. Lloyd Hart will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Skidmore.
