      Horace Leon Cannon
      Aug. 30, 1908 - March 17, 1996

      MADISONVILLE - Services for Horace Leon Cannon, 87, will be 2 p.m. today at J.M. Day Funeral Home in Madisonville.

      Rev. Charles Higgs will officiate. Burial will be in City Cemetery in Madisonville. Visitation will be 8 a.m.-noon today at the funeral home.

      Mr. Cannon died Sunday in the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Marlin. He was born in Baird, Texas.

      Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Leon and Jo Nita Cannon of Teague, Texas, and Bobby and Mary Cannon of Oklahoma; three sisters, Ida Mae Johnston and Edith Walton, both of Madisonville, and Willie Gunn of Montgomery; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
