Robin Thompson
October 30, 1958 - June 7, 2014
Funeral services for Ms. Robin Thompson were held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 10:00a.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Bro. Paul Gauntt officiated. Interment followed the services at Greenwood Cemetery.
Ms. Thompson passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at her residence in Teague. She was born in Teague on October 30, 1958, and moved to Mexico where she attended Parochial Schools from 1967 to 1975. Robin remained fluent in speaking both English and Spanish. She raised three children and was a homemaker for most of her life. Robin operated a daycare and raised cattle for a period of time, but was best known for working at Walmart in Mexia in the photo department for some eleven years. She loved music and adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Leah Henson Johnson & husband Justin of Little Elm, and Jessica Henson Risken & husband Hunter of Teague; one son, Drew Henson of Teague; three grandchildren, Korree Risken, Jayden Yorgensen, and Collin Johnson; her mother, Patricia Gauntt Thompson of Mexia; one sister, Dana Russell & Jim Bob Cronk of Forrest Glade; one brother, Tim Thompson & wife Donna of Lindale; two nephews, Andy Russell & wife Micah, and Chris Russell & wife Trisha; one niece, Phoebe McCourt & husband Brian; two great-nieces, Piper McCourt and Posie McCourt; one great-nephew, Autrey Russell; numerous other relatives and friends, including special friend, Susan Rawls.
Ms. Thompson was preceded in death by one sister, Rebekah Thompson, and her father, Jerry Thompson.
