Jerry Johnston
January 29, 1935 - October 9, 2021
Wichita, Kansas - Jerry Johnston, loving and respected husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 09, 2021 after a courageous eleven year battle with Parkinson's Disease. Jerry met the love of his life, Connie, in Wichita. They were married on July 7, 1956 after Jerry's graduation from the Naval Academy. He then joined the USAF as a pilot. After a twenty one year career he retired as a Lt. Col. Jerry then enjoyed a second career for many years as a corporate pilot for Lario Oil & Gas Company. Jerry was a faithful and active member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Thelma Johnston. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Connie; daughters Tracy (Richard) Dickinson, Karyn (Mike) Parker; sons Patrick (Leslie) Johnston, Mark (Julie) Johnston; fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Risen Savior Lutheran Church 6770 E. 34th Street N. Wichita, KS.
