Bernice Laverne Hicks Wilson
GRAPEVINE - Bernice Laverne Hicks Wilson, 79, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, at a local hospital.
Graveside service: 3 p.m. Wednesday in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville.
Mrs. Wilson grew up in Robstown. She lived in Alice, where her husband owned Wilson Feed and Seed Co., and was a member of Second Baptist Church. Later she lived in Riviera and Edinburg, where her husband pastored Southern Baptist churches. In the last years of his life, he pastored Liberty Hill Baptist Church while living in Round Rock.
Mrs. Wilson was a wonderful helpmate to her husband and greatly supported him in his ministry. To her family and those who knew her, she will be remembered as a kind-hearted giver of her time and energy, a supporter and an encourager, but most of all, as an outstanding witness for the Lord Jesus.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, George Jackson Hicks and Ruth Gibson Hicks; a brother, Woodrow Hicks Sr.; and her husband, Jesse Wilson Jr.
Survivors: Children, Darnell Wilson of Virginia, Don Wilson of Georgetown and Terry Wilson of Grapevine; grandchildren, Terry Wilson Jr., Karol Ruwaldt, Becky Morgan, Matthew Wilson; great-and grandchildren, Kayleigh Wilson, Todd Ruwaldt, Kelli Ruwaldt, Ame Morgan and Wallace Morgan.

Graveside service was held Wednesday in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, with Rev. Holland Smith officiating
At her death, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Round Rock.
She will be remembered as a kind-hearted, an encourager, an outstanding witness for the Lord Jesus.
Preceded in death by her parents, George Jackson Hicks, Ruth Gibson Hicks; a brother, Woodrow Hicks, Sr.; husband, Jesse Wilson, Jr.
Survivors; Children, Darnell, Don, Terry Wilson including four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many friends.

Bernice grew up in Robstown She and her husband lived in Alice, Riviera, Edinburg, and Round Rock. She worked for Round Rock Baptist Children's Home as an accountant and at a Round Rock school district cafeteria. At her death, she was a member of First Baptist Church, Round Rock.
