Roberts TYNAN - Lydia Hicks Roberts, a retired teacher at Mathis Independent School District, a former resident of Mathis, and a member of the Mathis Church of Christ, died Sept. 29, 2000. She was 84. Survivors include a daughter, Marylyn Underwood of Victoria; a son, Woodrow Hicks Jr. of Kingsville; a sister, Dina Kruger of Tynan; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 1 at Dobie Funeral Home, Mathis. Burial will be in Cenizo Hill Cemetery, Mathis.
