Herbert Schulz
MARLIN - Herbert Lee Schulz, 70, of May, Texas, entered into rest Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2004, at his residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Perry United Methodist Church, with Pastor Myrl Wagenknecht officiating. Interment will be at Perry Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.
Herbert was a native Texan, born March 21, 1933, to Herbert and Malinda Makowsky Schulz. He was an accountant for Amoco Oil for 35 years. He had lived in May, Texas, for the past two years, moving from Houston. He was a member of the Lutheran faith and a veteran of the Army serving in Korea. He loved conservative politics, golf, his computer, and studying genealogy.
Mr. Schulz was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel Schulz in 1971, and his second wife, Lady Schulz, in 1991.
Survivors include John Schulz and wife, Karen of Colchester, Conn.; sister, Gertie Moll of May, Texas; grandson, Joseph Schulz of Colchester, Conn., and a number of nieces and nephews, including Cynthia Carr, who was his caregiver.
