Notes - Obituary:
HENDERSON - Services for George H. Adkins, 84, of White Oak will be 10 a.m. Friday at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today.
He died Wednesday in a Longview hospital.
Mr. Adkins was born Dec. 25, 1906, in Co Hon Valley, La., and had lived in White Oak since 1977.
He was a former resident of Price, a Baptist and a retired employee of Marathon Oil Company.
Survivors include son, G.R. "Pinky" of White Oak; sisters, Mrs. Isha Cloud and Lillin Bigham, both of White Oak, and Ruth Service of Shreveport, La.; grandchildren, John Adkins and Sue Ann Pieri, both of Houston, and Doug of College Station.

WHITE OAK, TEXAS - Funeral services for Mr. George H. Adkins, 84, of White Oak, was held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 15 at Crawford A. Crim Chapel. Interment was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the Direction of Crawford A. Crim Funeral Home.
Mr. Adkins died at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd Hospital. He was born December 26, 1906 in Cotton Valley, La., was a former resident of Price and was a resident of White Oak since 1977. He was a Baptist and retired employee of Marathon Oil Company.
He is survived by one son, G.R. (Pinky) Adkins of White Oak; sisters, Mrs. Isha Cloud, White Oak, Mrs. Lillian Bigham, White Oak, and Mrs. Ruth Service, Shreveport; grandchildren, John Adkins of Houston, Sue Ann Pieri of Houston, and Doug Adkins of College Station.
Pallbearers were Donald Ray Perkins, Buddy Stinson, Bentley Hamrick, George Cloud, George Moody, Dan Seelbach, Charlie Owens, Ricky Hughes.
