  Obituary: Herbert J. Jones Herbert J. Jones, 71, of 1341 Annapolis, died at 3 a.m. yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Westfield and had lived in Corpus Christi 37 years. Jones was a retired oilfield contractor. He also had been engaged in ranching, real estate and lumber. Jones was a member of the First Christian Church, Arabia Temple Shrine of Houston and Corpus Christi Commandry No. 57 KT. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in Cage-Mills Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. Oliver Harrison, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Artie; and three sisters, Mrs. Ralph H. Smith and Mrs. Irma Van Eaton, both of Houston, and Miss Blanche Jones of Mexia. Pallbearers will be Arnold Morgan, W. L.
