Paul Wade Carter
February 10, 1944 - February 10, 2021
Paul Wade Carter of Nacogdoches passed away February 10, 2021, at his home at the age of 77. He was born February 10, 1944, in Houston to parents Howard Paul Carter and Mildred (Walls) Carter.
Mr. Carter was a proud veteran of The United States Army. He was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and earned his Master's Degree in Biogeochemistry from UT Dallas. He worked as a District Geologist for the Bureau of Land Management. Paul enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and bowling. He also enjoyed listening to the music of Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sons, Matthew Jacob Carter and Aaron Daniel Carter; and grandchildren, Hailey Carter, Joseph Carter, and Daniel Carter.
A memorial visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home.
