  Obituary: Faustine Skrivanek, 92, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 in Ennis, Texas. Faustine was born in Alto, Texas on May 12, 1923 to Oma Ellis and Lois (Rozelle) Cole. She grew up in Alto, Texas and graduated from Alto High School. She went on to receive her RN degree from Parkland School of Nursing. She joined the Army Nurse Corps in 1944 and served during World War II and continued to serve an additional three years in the Army Air Force. On February 14, 1947 she married Dr. Ervin J. Skrivanek following their marriage they lived in El Camp, Texas before moving to Ennis in 1948. She served as the office manager for Dr. Dan Skrivanek and Dr. E.J. Skrivanek and also as their nurse. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ennis. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, reading and spending time with family. Her memory will be carried on by her family including son, Donn Skrivanek and wife, Nancy of Seattle, WA; daughter, Celia Strnad and husband, Randy of Austin, TX; three grandchildren: Scott Morgan, Amanda Morgan and Ben Strnad and one brother, Roger Cole of Gig Harbour, WA. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Paula, one sister Annie Doris and one brother, Morris. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. until service time in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Steve Holston officiating. Private burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. (Published at www.jekeevermortuary.com)
