Robert Eugene Phillips
Robert Eugene Phillips, age 77, passed away January 17, 2026. He was born on January 23, 1948 in Wichita Falls Texas to R.C. Phillips and Diamond (Pat) Phillips. He is proceeded in death by his sister, Sandra Ann Rowland. Those left to treasure his memories are his sisters, Brenda (Tommy) Odom, Patricia (Sam) Smith, cousins, nieces, nephew, and fur baby Sylvester.
Robert was a lifelong resident of Wichita Falls. He graduated from Old High, class of '67 and furthered his education at MSU with a focus in electronics and people skills. To say Robert was unique might be an understatement. He was a thinker, planner, researcher, and never one to make impulse decisions.
He worked for Washex for many years, traveling worldwide, retired from the city of Wichita Falls as an instrument tech with the water department.
If you were his friend, he was loyal and made an effort to be there for you. He had firm political views you best keep your views to yourself. He enjoyed playing bridge for many years, going to the movies every week and was an avid reader.
The care he showed for his grandmother, mother and aunt will be remembered and we will always be grateful. Robert enjoyed eating out as well as family home-cooked meal. He will be missed by the morning social club at McDonald's and Highway Cafe. A special thanks to Amber and Diana for attending to Robert as he's so graciously graced their establishments. There are no services planned at this time.
