      Jerry John Kubin
      May 15, 1936 - November 17, 2023
      Caldwell

      Jerry John Kubin age 87, native of Caldwell, Texas passed away on November 17, 2023, at St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan. Jerry was born to parents John and Albina Mahan Kubin. Jerry graduated from Caldwell High School and played football for the Caldwell Hornet Team. His work experience during his lifetime was in retail and construction. Jerry enjoyed outdoor activities, especially fishing, and outdoor cooking for family and friends. He also enjoyed playing Bingo and Dominoes. He enjoyed sports especially watching the Texas Aggie Football Team.

      Jerry is preceded in death by his wife Lucille Kubin, his parents John and Albina Kubin.

      Survivors include his son, Dudley Kubin, his brother Frankie Kubin and wife Emma, sister Linda Cannon and husband Thomas; his grandchildren Stephanie Ellington and husband Joshua, Michelle Kubin, Austin Kubin and wife Blythe; his great-grandchildren James Ellington and Joseph Ellington, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family.
      A visitation will be held on Sunday November 27, 2023, from 6-8pm at Strickland Funeral home. A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 10am in New Tabor Cemetery with Pastor David Johnson officiating.
