Notes - Obituary:
Carl B. Maurer, 68, a longtime resident of Shreveport, died at 6 a.m. Monday in a Denver hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Maurer was a native of Franklin, and lived in Shreveport for 62 years. He graduated from Shreveport High School and Tulane University. Until his retirement in 1970, he was secretary - treasurer of Central Wholesale Co., Inc., of Shreveport. He was a deacon of First Baptist Church and a member of the Civitan Club.
The funeral will be Thursday at the First Baptist Church, in Estes Park, Colo.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lucile Maurer; two daughters, Mrs. Gary Waldman of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. David Gustafson of Barrington, R.I.; a son, James C. Maurer of Denver, Colo.; and two grandchildren.
