  Obituary: Fran Lorant Moore Fran Lorant Moore, 82, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, Oct 12, 2024 in Shreveport. She was born November 21, 1941 in Shreveport to the late Homer and Inez Lorant. She graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 1959, and later earned a degree in Education from Louisiana Tech in Ruston, LA. She was a school teacher for over 20 years and spent many weekends at the lake with family before being diagnosed with MS. She loved reaching out to friends online, taking care of her flower bed and garden, and keeping up with her grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers Dan and Jerry Lorant; her two sons, Mark Moore and wife, Kasia and Scott Moore and wife, Lindsey. She will forever be remembered as "YaYa" to grandchildren Zoe and Robert "Wyatt" Moore. Condolences may be sent to 2968 Paradise Dr., Shreveport, LA 71105.
