    • Obituary:

      Omrie Hayes, 66 passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. He was born in Brewton, AL on December 23, 1952 to Raymon V. Hayes SR. and Edith Carrier Hayes. He was formerly of Indianola, MS where he operated the Sonic for several years. He moved to Pontotoc in 1977 and owned and operated the Sonic for 25 years. He was currently employed with Security Plus. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Masonic Lodge, Shriner's and supported the Police Department. He loved helping friends and community. He was a loving husband, father, and brother. He loved the outdoors, fishing, grilling, and growing flowers. He was a devoted Alabama fan.

      Services will be at 1 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Brian Sansing officiating; burial will be in the West Heights Cemetery. Browning Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

      Survivors include his wife Cindy, sons Wesley (Ashley) of Pontotoc; Bradley Aderholt (Megan) of Booneville; daughter Katie Stacy (Daniel) of Olive Branch; a brother Ray Hayes (Dorothy) of Albertville AL; and a sister Peggy Tumlin (Mike) of Hayden, AL.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.

      Pallbearers are Wesley Hayes, Bradley Aderholt, Charlie Smith, Daniel Stacy, Wesley Heatherly and Brandon Jarvis.

      Visitation will be from 11 AM until 1PM Saturday at the funeral home.
