  Obituary: SAREPTA, LA - Services for Mr. Stephen B. Pugh, Sr., 95, of Sarepta, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday Sept. 15 at the New Sarepta Baptist Church, where he was a member and deacon. The Rev. Richard May will officiate. Burial: Old Sarepta Cemetery. Plans are under the direction of Bailey Mortuary of Springhill, La. He died Tuesday Sept. 13, 1983, in Springhill. Mr. Pugh, a native of the Friendship Community in DeSoto Parish, La. and a resident of Sarepta for 55 years, was retired from International Paper Co. and was a retired farmer. He is survived by three sons, Dr. N.O. Pugh, Sr. of Shreveport, Stephen B. Pugh, Jr. of Sarepta and Orie Lee Pugh of Lake Wales, Fla.; one daughter, Margaret Ashbaugh of Blue Springs, Kansas; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Lynn Pugh, Jack Pugh, Lester Crawford, Lester Fife, E.L. Edwards and Dr. Newell O. Pugh, Jr. (Published in The Shreveport Times on September 15, 1983)
