  Death Notice: Steve Edward Slama, 67, of Snook died Monday at home. Funeral arrangements are pending at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. (Published in The Bryan-College Station Eagle on July 30, 1991) Obituary: Steve Edward Slama Jr. August 8, 1923 - July 29, 1991 Funeral services for Steve Edward Slama Jr., 67, of Snook will be today at 3 p.m. at Hillier Funeral Chapel in Bryan. The Rev. G. Edwin Mangham of the First Alliance Church of Houston will officiate. Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery. Mr. Slama died early Monday morning at home. He was born in Cameron, formerly lived in Bryan and had lived in Snook for the past eight years. He was a retired self-employed paint contractor, and served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Slama was a Baptist. He loved to hunt, fish and participate in all outdoor activities. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Steven Curtis and Cindy Slama of Houston: two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Clay Perry of Bryan and Sue and Frankie Abate of Hearne; a sister, Mildred Yeager of Bryan; and seven grandchildren.
