    • Obituary:

      GROVES - Claude Talbot, 74, died Saturday at Gaspard's Nursing Home in Port Arthur.

      He was a native of Rayne, La., and longtime resident of Port Arthur. He was a retired asbestos worker.

      Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

      Survivors include his wife, Versie Talbot of Mauriceville; a daughter, Mrs. Willard Buford of Mauriceville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
