Cherri Lana Bryant Dehart
1952-2017
Cherri Lana Bryant Dehart passed away Monday May 8, 2017 in Dallas, Texas at the Boone Pickins' Cancer Hospital. She is survived by her husband Lynn Dehart, her daughter Heather Dehart; granddaughters Courtney and Brittany Hensley, her daughter-in-law Laura Dehart and grandsons Isaac, Parker and Elliot Dehart. Her son Bradley Lynn Dehart preceded her in death February 18, 2017. Cherri was born in Borger, Texas, but spent most of her adult life in the Dallas area. She spent many years employed by American Airlines and was a full time homemaker. She began College at age 52 and earned an Associates Degree at age 54. She was full of life and brightened the lives of everyone she touched. She loved to travel with her husband and best friend, Lynn. Spending time with children and grandchildren was her favorite pastimes. There will be a private memorial in Cedar Hill at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Texans Can Academies towards the establishment of the Cherri Dehart Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship will provide funds for a graduating teen mother to begin a college career. Cherri was a teenage mother and felt a strong kinship to young ladies who became mothers early in their life. Donations may be made at www.Texanscan.org/CherriDehartScholarship.
