  Obituary: Destiny Ann Chance Daigle July 24, 1988 - January 10, 2025 Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11:00 am in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Destiny Ann Chance Daigle, age 36, who passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday morning from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. Deacon Cody Miller will officiate at the services. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. Survivors include her daughter, Luna Doucet; her parents, Dr. Michael James Daigle and Mrs. Genevieve Daigle; and three siblings, Jonathan E Daigle, Kimberly Caspari, and Nicholas Daigle. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shalon Daigle Ortiz-Corona. Destiny, a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, was a proud graduate of Acadiana High School. She brought creativity and joy to all who knew her. Destiny had a deep passion for the arts and crafts, finding happiness in sewing, making jewelry, and her unique talent for hula hooping. She was known for her kind heart and love of animals, always surrounded by the many cats and dogs she cherished throughout her life. Her memory will be held dear by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her creativity and warmth. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Daigle, Nicholas Daigle, Timothy Benoit, Robert "Robby" Battles, III, Joshua Daigle, and Terry LaPointe. The family of Ms. Destiny extends their heartfelt appreciation to the medical staff at Ochsner Lafayette General; Alice and Michael Cavanaugh; Dr. Charles Dugal; and Terry LaPointe, for their compassionate care and unwavering support.
