Funeral Services Held May 5 For Thomas Machann
Funeral services for Thomas Machann, 70, were held at the Chapel of Marek-Burns funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 5 with the Rev. Gus Jenson officiating. He was assisted by Rev. James Welden. Burial was made in Slovak cemetery in Caldwell.
Mr. Machann died at his home here at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday. He was born June 11, 1884 in Caldwell and had lived there until 1936 when he moved to Buckholts. In 1946 Mr. Machann made Cameron his home. He was a long time member of the SPJST Lodge.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Albina Machann of Cameron, two sons, John T. Machann of Bryan and Joe Machann of Pasadena; five daughters, Mrs. Lottie Hovorak of Caldwell, Mrs. Albina Kubin of Caldwell, Mrs. Marie Zawazke of Gause, Mrs. Ella Drgac of Caldwell, and Mrs. Margaret Zawalzke of Cameron.
He is survived by one brother, John Machann of Caldwell and seven sisters, Mrs. Frances Mikaska of Taylor, Mrs. Albina Urban of Caldwell, Mrs. Rosie Hejl of Caldwell, Mrs. Lydia Grabs of Caldwell, Mrs. Annie Kramer of Caldwell and Mrs. Mary Odstricil of Caldwell, 19 grandchilren and 1 great-grandchild.
