  Obituary: Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Shannon Joseph Gaspard, 31, who died Friday, April 6, from an automobile accident. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery #2 Survivors include his wife, Delana Gaspard of Rayne; one son, Kylan Gaspard of Rayne, two daughters, Victoria Gaspard, and Kaylin Gaspard, of Rayne; father,Wilfred Gaspard of Rayne, two brothers, Kevin Gaspard and wife, Claudia "Pie" of Rayne and Corey Gaspard and wife Christa of Rayne and grandmother Nola Clement Gaspard of Rayne. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria LaPoint Gaspard and grandparents, Wilson Gaspard and Mr. and Mrs. Olite LaPoint. Pallbearers were Richard Gaspard, Alan Credeur, Jr., Alex St. Andre', Mikey Guidry, John "Tee" Guidry and Skyla Gaspard. Honorary pallbearers were Jamie LaVergne, Paul Stutes and Guy Foreman. Arrangements were entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc. of Rayne. (Published in The Rayne Independent on April 12, 2007)
